You troubled soul in search of what?
To look for something you haven’t got?
Conflicted inside between right and wrong,
Feeling of despair, expected to be strong.
The endless analysis the self deprivation,
Troubled soul seeking a destination.
So you become an island in search of relief,
to avoid heartbreak, criticism, rejection and grief.
You refuse to share,
You refuse to care.
Dismiss those you love - better that way,
Reject their help - and what they say.
Now alone - loved ones gone,
no longer near to call upon.
But being an island comes at a cost,
As you feel lonely and you feel lost.
So make a raft and sail to land,
and trust in a friend to take your hand.
And when you do, no longer to be,
an island alone, in the middle of the sea.
